My checking account will be my everything account. It will hold my taxes, my emergency fund, and my spending. Obviously, I will need to learn how to use a spreadsheet program such as LibreOffice Calc to learn how to manage my checking account. I will assume that it would take at least a month to get my windfall. This should give me the time I will need to learn how to use the spreadsheet program. If somehow I was to get to be more than $250,000 – I will take money out of my bank account, and store it under my mattress (figuratively). This is to keep my money safe, and I will then use my cash on hand before dipping into the credit card. Therefore, if I was to go to DiBella’s for example, I will use $20 in cash as opposed to $20 in credit card charge.
